Babcock has been a key naval support provider to the Canadian
government for over 5 years. We first established a presence in
Canada with the Canadian Submarine Management Group (CSMG), a joint
venture with Weir Canada. As a Canadian ISO 9001 registered
company, Babcock employs about 150 personnel at three locations
(Halifax, Ottawa and Victoria).
Through demonstration of many years of experience in Weapon
Handling and Launch Systems on UK, Canadian and Australian
Platforms, complemented by a strong customer focus and
collaborative approach, Babcock was awarded the prestigious
Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC), reporting to the
Department of National Defence. We are also the Original Equipment
Manufacturer for the Victoria Class Weapons Handling and Discharge
System and Submerged Signal Ejectors.

provide platform design, integration and management services,
ensuring complete lifecycle engineering support. Our Canadian team
can provide outstanding in-service support solutions in project
management, data and configuration management, systems engineering,
materiel and supply chain management and maintenance and waterfront
support. Additionally, in the area of information management, we
have a unique integrated Oracle software suite, specifically
designed for naval platform support. We have also implemented a
specialist tool that enables true collaborative working; the award
winning Collaborative Working Environment (CWE), in use since 2001,
aligns our client management ethos with project delivery.
