Military Logistics

End to End Management and Support

We have a reputation for a high standard of delivery and the equipment support services that we provide are at the heart of operational support and readiness.  We deliver a range of services from solution design and requirements management through to procurement, fleet optimisation and integrated logistics support.

We have managed the availability and equipment support for combat and non-combat vehicles for the Army for the past decade and we support the Royal Air Force through the delivery of multiple aircraft availability contracts. As well as providing asset management and maintenance services, we deliver essential associated support ensuring availability of key assets to enable our customers to meet operational requirements, thus demonstrating they can trust us to deliver.

Babcock's experience on Army contracts includes the provision and through-life availability management of approximately 2000 construction vehicles and equipment for the Royal Engineers, rough terrain mechanical handling equipment for the Royal Logistic Corps, ensuring availability of over 600 armoured support and patrol vehicles and the management of 15,000 white fleet vehicles for the wider tri-service.

Proven experience
Babcock has managed and optimised white fleet vehicles for all three Armed Forces for the past decade. Our services encompass complete vehicle support including procurement, maintenance, repair, incident management, rental and disposal.

High quality delivery
Through ALC, a Babcock/Amey partnership, we look after approximately 2,000 construction vehicles with full logistics support on a global availability basis. Our approach to and successful delivery of asset procurement, fleet rationalisation and assured availability have made this an award-winning capability provision programme for the Army.

Supporting core delivery
Babcock delivers mission-ready aircraft across three major contracts for the Royal Air Force. Using our own fleet of Grob Tutor aircraft we deliver 50,000 flying hours per year to support the Elementary Flying Training role. Through our maintenance and support of the Tucano and Hawk aircraft, we assist the RAF with the delivery of some 14,000 flying hours per year.

Babcock values and operates a partnering approach and can demonstrate success in delivering complex, large scale, cost effective and efficient military solutions. Positive customer feedback across all our contracts has led to us featuring highly in reviews of the MoD's key suppliers. The effective management of our supply chain has enabled us to meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
