Graham Leeming Finance Director Graham Leeming is a qualified Chartered Accountant with some 10 years experience in the industry. Through his involvement with both the Commercial and Consultancy sides of industry, Graham has developed a good knowledge of best practice project accounting and control processes necessary to successfully deliver accounts management. Graham’s involvement in the planning side of the industry has provided him with a positive and proactive attitude to change, which enables him to use this as an effective tool to develop and deliver efficient project accounting processes and procedures. At Price Waterhouse where he qualified, his clients included Avis and Fosters Brewing Group and he spent some time in Germany and Switzerland on acquisition based due diligence projects. He left Price Waterhouse to join British Telecom with his initial role covering the co-ordination and review of a £5bn pa revenue plan and securing £600m direct investment from the group's annual capital expenditure plan for BT’s Business Division. Subsequently Graham moved on to become financial controller for BT’s Defence business, where his role also included financial responsibility for the mobilisation and delivery of DFTS, BT’s 10-year prime contract with the MOD to deliver fixed telecommunications across the UK (contract value £1.1bn). Des Morris Operations Director (Performance) Des Morris, BSc, member of the Chartered Institute of Housing is the former Head of Housing Management at Leeds City Council, where he was responsible for the management of 69,000 properties through 700 staff and the management of a £27m budget for reactive repairs. Ian Smith Operations Director (Local Authority) Ian Smith, BSc Fuel and Energy, has over 15 years experience in all aspects of energy efficiency and management and was until recently responsible for the London Region contracts within Babcock Infrastructure Services. Following a reorganisation in January 2000, Ian became responsible for all public sector contracts/projects. Jim Reid Managing Director - API Jim has built a company focused on adding value and delivering absolute service excellence. His goal was to lead not follow, to that end he innovated and developed unique solutions. API developed into the preferred supplier within it’s market sector with blue chip companies such as BP, Shell, Astra Zeneca, British Energy and GSK. Jim has had continued his success in this role since API joined Babcock Group in January 2001. As Managing Director of Babcock API Jim’s focus has been to develop the indigenous businesses housed within the Rosyth complex to a wider industrial audience. David Plester Project Director - SWRP As Project Director for the RPC SW contract David is responsible for the delivery of Core Works (Capital projects) and Core Services (Hard FM) across the entire southwest MoD Estate. Employing in excess of 350 directly employed staff and a further 600 staff through the dedicated supply chain the contract is the major supplier of estate support to the MoD in the South West. The project very much at the forefront of MoD procurement is the second of five Regional Prime Contracts to be let by Defence Estates is centred around the progressive improvement of the MoD Estate and is based around the smart procurement objectives set out by Egham and Latham. Key to the role of Project Director is meeting the diverse and exacting requirements posed by the MoD, which range from supporting fully operational airfields to the sensitivities of maintaining numerous Sites of Scientific Interest (SSSI’s) A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over twenty years experience in supporting a wide range of clients across a diverse range of sectors. David is a member of the Babcock Infrastructure board and has played a major role in taking the business forward over the last ten years. A Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, David has a 1st Class Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, and a post Graduate Diploma Construction Management. Angus Beveridge Health and Safety Director Angus Beveridge is a senior qualified Health and Safety Professional who was appointed Health and Safety Director of Babcock Infrastructure Services. He holds an extensive portfolio of professional qualifications and has lengthy experience within the industry. Prior to joining Babcock in July 2005, Angus spent 5 years as the Head of Group Property Safety for BAA Plc where he was responsible for ensuring full compliance with Government and European Law regarding health, safety, fire and environmental matters in all managed premises within BAA’s £3billion portfolio. Angus has also spent 10 years working at Heathrow Airport where he initially joined as the Estate Management Safety Officer before filling a Senior Management Position as the Property Safety Manager where he held overall responsibility for all safety aspects of Heathrow’s property portfolio. Angus’ innovative approach demonstrates drive and decisiveness in all aspects of his work. He is creative and highly successful and has demonstrated his skills at harnessing uncertainty in a safety and change environment at all levels. Phil Palmer Project Director RPC(E)
Phil has spent the past 5 years working on the MOD Prime Contract Initiative. He was instrumental in Debut (Babcock DynCorp's sister company) winning both RPC(SW) and SLAM where Phil developed with his team the operational aspects of both prime contracts including; core services: methodology, programme, mobilisation plans, PMPs and resource plans. Core Works: Supply Chain appointments and liaison with senior members of the supply chain teams. As Mobilization Manager and nominated Deputy Project Director he went on to prepare the bids for RPC(SE) and played a major role in developing the bid for RPC(C). Promoted in May 2004, Phil was appointed Project Director for RPC(E). Frank Morris Sales and Marketing Director Frank Morris joined Babcock as Sales and Marketing Director in February 2007. In this role, Frank will help BIS to deliver sustained profitable growth as it secures new and important contracts.
A former director of Serco Solutions, Frank has considerable experience in the outsourcing market having held roles in Sales and Marketing, M&A and Programme Delivery with Serco Group plc and Energis. Frank holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Information Systems Design from Kingston University.
