Babcock Engineering Services (BES)

Site Facilities Information

Our Rosyth facility comprises three fully serviced docks, capable of accommodating vessels in excess of 21,000 tonnes, and provides access via a non-tidal berthing basin to vessels of up to 220m length, 33m beam and 9m draught. A unique Syncrolift facility provides additional refitting capacity for a further 6 vessels and is capable of lifting vessels of up to 1100 tonnes and transporting them to covered serviced facilities.

Proven processes and working practises complement our extensive fabrication and manufacturing facilities, which include 3,140 square metres of covered shop space, 1,500 square metres of assembly space and a designated blast and paint facility. These are complemented by dedicated and secure warehousing facilities of approx 22,000 square metres with temperature control, narrow aisle racking for 11,000 pallets and computer controlled vertical storage carousels / shuttles.
