Maintenance Operations
BNS manages all engineering work on submarines and minor surface warships carried out at the Base, including emergency and scheduled maintenance on both Royal Navy and foreign naval vessels. Maintenance activities include full Revalidation Assisted Maintenance Period (RAMP) operations on both Trident and Swiftsure Class submarines and these are soon to be extended as the new Astute Class submarines are introduced into service with the Royal Navy. |
