Ged Conway
Director - Babcock Airports


Ged Conway started his career as a mechanical engineer and has worked in numerous locations in the UK and in North and South Africa. The work included site and project management in steel making plants, power stations and sugar processing plants.

Joining the company in 1988 as a project manager on bulk handling contracts, he has been responsible for the airports sector of the business since 1993.

Ged was appointed Babcock Airports Director in 2008.


Stephen Haines
Deputy General Manager


Steve Haines started his career as a designer on steel making plant in South Africa before moving into project management of bulk materials handling plants. Returned to UK as a Construction Manager on nuclear power and fuel processing plants.

Joining the company in 1997 with responsibility for managing the Airports O&M business. Moved to our Heathrow offices in 1998.


Steve Westwood
Deputy General Manager Airport Projects


Steve Westwood started his career as an electrical engineer and worked on various projects within the Nuclear and Hydro Power industries prior to Airport Systems. Steve joined the company in 1980 as an apprentice and graduated in 1988 with a degree in electrical engineering.
