Martin Austick started his career as a mechanical engineer working on the construction of Nuclear Power Stations.  After various management roles in Construction, Manufacture and Projects, Martin became UK Operations Director of Alstec in 2003, and subsequently Managing Director in 2006, following the acquisition of Alstec by Babcock International Group.

Martin was appointed MD of BNS Nuclear Services in 2007, responsible for the Civil Nuclear activity in Babcock International Group

Eddie Spencer started his engineering career in the nuclear submarine programme.  A variety of specialist technical and management roles followed until in 1994, Eddie transitioned into Business Development providing technical services to nuclear clients in Central Europe and Scandinavia.  In 1996, Eddie moved into the civil nuclear arena and in 2001 joined Alstec’s Nuclear Sector becoming the Sector General Manager in 2003. Eddie was appointed Nuclear Director in 2006 following the acquisition of Alstec and is also Business Development Director for BNS Nuclear Services.

Tony Moore is a chartered engineer with 34 years experience in industry covering the power, automotive and nuclear sectors. He has held various senior management posts within publicly listed companies, more recently as Chief Executive Officer of International Nuclear Solutions plc (INS). Over the period between 1998 and 2006, he was responsible for growing the nuclear business of INS from £1 million to circa £32 Million and employing ca 300 personnel. He has also developed a nuclear business in the United States.

Tony was appointed Projects and Operations Director of BNS Nuclear Services in 2007 following the acquisition of INS by Babcock International Group.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross & Co, Eddie spent twelve years in various financial roles in the oil and gas industry, based in the UK and the Netherlands.

Eddie joined Alstec Ltd in 2000 as Financial Controller, and was appointed Finance Director of the Alstec Group in 2006, following the acquisition of Alstec by Babcock International Group, and is also Finance Director for BNS Nuclear Services

Steve McGowan has 30 years experience working in the nuclear industry in various mangement roles, more recently as the Technical Director of INS Innovation Ltd and prior to the Babcock ‘take-over’ was one of three Executive Directors as part of then newly formed INS plc board. Steve is responsible for the management of large multi disciplined technical teams delivering bespoke special purpose solutions to the nuclear industry.

As an active member of the INS Innovation board Steve led company wide initiatives and improvement plans as part of the continual improvement philosophy. Steve is looking forward to his role as Engineering Director as part of the newly formed BNS Nuclear Services Executive team.
