Babcock operates in the high voltage power transmission and distribution markets in the UK and Africa and provides specialist oil pipeline services in the US.

Key Activities:

  • Transmission and distribution, UK
    End-to-end delivery of high voltage power lines. Alliance contract with National Grid in partnership with AMEC and Mott MacDonald for western half of England.  EDF Energy Networks Contract over five years.

 

  • Power Engineering, South Africa
    Maintenance and engineering support for Eskom’s existing and new build power stations. Construction and erection of new power lines and maintenance of existing power lines for Eskom and other southern African utilities.

 

  • Oil and Gas Pipeline Services, US
    Our capabilities also extend to gas treatment, condensate stabilization, basic related process engineering and liquid terminal facilities. Engineering services provided are project management, design engineering, detailed drafting, survey activities, construction management, material procurement and construction inspection.
