Babcock will be taking over the management of all Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in the Wakefield district. There will be significant development at the existing Denby Dale Road site to create an efficient Transfer Loading Station and HWRC. The existing HWRC at Normanton (Welbeck) will be refurbished and upgraded. In addition to the existing sites, Babcock will build new facilities at Glasshoughton and South Kirkby. These sites will all contribute to the efficient function of the waste management solution for the Wakefield district.
