Case Study
South Erewash
As part of the South Erewash project, Rail Division recently erected the third largest signal gantry in the rail network, under track crossings, under road crossings, retaining bases for DNOs, REBs, location cases, thousands of metres of toughing routes, reinforced concrete bases, removal of signals and signal gantries. This contract is valued at £16m supporting Westinghouse.
Civils works
We are undertaking a variety of civils works to support our Signalling, Telecomms and Power Systems projects. As part of the Glasgow Central works the Project delivered two new access points, one of which was a major lift shaft/stairwell in the approach to Central in between 12 operational lines. Structural steelwork repairs and modifications were carried out to Signal gantries, signal posts and signal droppers to accommodate new equipment. REB bases, UTXs and troughing were all installed. Two new buildings were constructed to house signalling equipment and an existing listed building was refurbished.
GARL Elderslie Loop
We are currently undertaking the installation of bases for OLE masts and equipment. Earthworks/Embankment work is to be carried out to allow new alignment of P-Way. Access walkways; fencing and extended hardstanding for lorries are all within the remit.
